In what condition is the outbound tourist flow from Russia?
The border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation published statistics on the departure of Russian citizens to foreign countries for three quarters of 2021 (January-September inclusive).
The total number of trips of Russians abroad in January-September 2021 amounted to 15,321,243, 58.9% less than in the same period in 2019.

In the countries of the “far abroad”, which do not have common land borders with Russia, in January-September 2021, Russians made 6,713,133 trips, 62.5% less than in January-September 2019.
Undisputed leader in the outbound tourist flow from Russia -TurkeyAccording to the Border Service of the FSB, 3,600,759 trips were made in January-September. In second place, Cyprus 448,736 trips of Russian citizens. In third place is the UAE (374,018 trips, -39%), in fourth place - Egypt (272,323 trips, an increase of 1182%, but it is not indicative, since direct flights opened only in August), on the fifth - Greece (179,294 trips, -74.7%).
In the TOP-10 of the most popular foreign countries among Russian tourists in January-September 2021 (see figure 1), according to the Border Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, were the Maldives, Cuba, TunisiaTanzania, SerbiaBulgaria.
