The rules of flights for passengers with children were changed at the direction of the head of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov.
Passengers have a choice as to which accompanying child will fly.
In connection with numerous appeals of citizens and reports in the media, the Prosecutor General of Russia instructed to check the compliance of airlines and airports with the rights of passengers with young children.
Local acts of some airlines regulating the conditions of service for such passengers do not meet the requirements of the law, in particular, children and parents are often seated separately on aircraft.
Some carriers have provided the opportunity to transfer children from one accompanying person to another, including when an adult passenger with a child under 12 years old is in different classes of service, as well as seating children under 2 years old together with family members and relatives.
