In Russia, the sale of package tours to Saudi Arabia begins

The first sale of tours to Saudi Arabia was opened by the tour operator Space Travel. The company will offer pilgrimage tours for Muslims, and later - package programs for ordinary tourists.
Entrance to Saudi Arabia is now open for pilgrims and for sightseeing and business tourists. Before the pandemic, the main flow of Russians to Saudi Arabia consisted of pilgrims. This is not surprising: the kingdom is home to the two main holy cities of Islam, Mecca and Medina, which are banned from entering non-Muslims.
Saudi Arabia gives Russians tourist e-visas for 90 days.
The Sputnik V vaccine is now approved by Saudi Arabia for entry through the country’s airports. The tourist needs to upload to the online system a certificate of vaccination in English, a certificate of a negative result of a PCR test for a covid (not older than 72 hours), on arrival to undergo quarantine (48 hours).

For a pilgrimage tour (umra), a tourist from Russia needs documents:
- A biometric passport of a new sample valid for at least 6 months.
- Certificate of vaccination against meningitis (4 component vaccine, for example ACYW 135, etc.).
- For women, a document (original) confirming the degree of kinship with the mahram (for spouses, the originals of the marriage certificate + the passport of the Russian Federation with the stamp of the registry office, for sisters and daughters - the birth certificate).
- Copy of the civil passport of the Russian Federation (page with photo and page with registration).
- For non-ethnic Muslims: evidence of acceptance of Islam.
- For citizens of the CIS: 2 color photos 4x6 on a white background (women in a headscarf).
- Women who have a photo on a passport without a headscarf, 1 color photo of any size on a white background in a headscarf.
Saudi Arabia is a destination of interest for pilgrims and ordinary tourists. When the kingdom allows everyone, not just pilgrims, Saudi Arabia will be a real discovery for sophisticated Russians who appreciate new and vivid experiences in travel.
