Vietnam welcomes first foreign tourists from March 2020
The 200 South Koreans arrived on the island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam over the weekend, becoming the first foreigners in the country since the borders closed in March 2020.
Under the plan to resume international tourism adopted by the Vietnamese authorities, fully vaccinated foreign tourists who arrive on charter or regular flights as part of package tours to Phu Quoc Island, Da Nang City, Khanh Hoa Province, Quangnam and Quanggin can rest in Vietnam without quarantine. Upon arrival, they must take a rapid antigen test and, if the result is negative, tourists can move around the island without restrictions, visiting excursions, shops and entertainment centers.
Russians can enter the provinces of Vietnam, where foreigners are allowed to enter, since the country’s authorities have recognized the Sputnik V vaccine. The second dose of the vaccine should be given no later than 14 days before travel.
You need a negative PCR test, done no earlier than 72 hours, and insurance coverage from $ 50,000.
While there are no direct flights from Russia to the resorts, you can get to Phu Quoc or Da Nang with transfers.
