Labour protection is of great importance in the Netherlands. The Labour Party (PvdA) in the Netherlands was founded in 1946 and is one of the largest and most influential parties in the country.

It is a reformist party, a member of the Socialist Party and enjoys considerable influence among the working class. The Labour Party contributed significantly to the reconstruction of the Netherlands in the post-war years.

Thanks to this party, the welfare state (social security system) was built in the Netherlands.
