Heineken Brewery
About the company:
The former Heineken brewery, now turned into a museum. Visitors are told about the history of brewing and beer consumption. Here you can see the traditional brewery with huge copper boilers.
Tourists in the museum are treated to 3 cups of excellent freshly brewed beer, and also allowed to trace how this drink is bottled and clogged.
Heineken, the largest brewery in the Netherlands, was founded in 1863. Today, the company owns 130 breweries in more than 65 countries. Heineken is headquartered in Amsterdam. Until 1988, there was also a brewery, where beer was brewed since 1592. It was subsequently converted into a museum. The brewery produced just 80,000 bottles of beer per hour, much less than even Amsterdamers consume. New factories produce more than a million bottles per hour.
