The museum has restored the historical setting of Rembrandt’s time: the kitchen, living rooms and the artist’s studio. The interior of the house-museum presents mainly paintings by Rembrandt’s contemporaries, his students, and his teacher Peter Lastman. The original paintings of Rembrandt in the exhibition are four.
The museum exhibits the most complete collection of graphic works by Rembrandt. There are 260 of the artist’s 500 etchings. In addition, in the museum you can get acquainted with the technique of etching, preparation of paints from natural stones.
