Cycling Amsterdam: Falling in Love in Three Hours
Description:
Ride along rivers and canals, see the city from a height and feel like a local
Amsterdam through the centuries
The bike ride will start at the main Dam Square, from where we will go to the quietest area in the old town. I fell in love with Amsterdam personally only after I discovered its serene neighborhoods, parks and uncrowded streets, hidden from the ordinary tourist.
It is with great pleasure that I will show you these places and tell you not only about the history of the city and its main attractions, but also about the daily life of the residents of the capital, their customs and traditions. You will learn the features of the architecture of the old city, if possible, look into the courtyard hidden from prying eyes and take pictures on the most beautiful canal. After that, you will go to the port of Amsterdam and appreciate the modern urban architecture.
Immersion in an extraordinary urban atmosphere
You will travel along the IJ Canal to Grand Central Station, see the largest bicycle parking lots in the city and learn why the Dutch love bicycles so much and why St. George’s Cathedral is the main Catholic Cathedral. Nicholas was built only in the XIX century.
Finally, the most romantic part of the program is to admire the chic panorama of Amsterdam from one of the city roofs. From the “heavenly” you will ride to the mill, a symbol of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which now brews delicious beer.
Then you will drive along the famous “Skinny Bridge” to the other bank of Amstel. After taking a few pictures on the river and the most romantic canal, look at Rembrandt Square, where young people like to spend time in the evening, and the flower market, where you can try the most delicious attraction - herring.
The tour will conclude in a nice cafe near the central square, where I will answer all the remaining questions and help with the further program of stay in the most beautiful city in Europe.
