Cafe de Balie
Kleine Gartmanplantsoen 101017 RR Amsterdam Netherlands
About the company:
The building was built at the end of the XIX century for the district court. Later, the court moved, and in 1982 a cultural center opened here. Dutch politician Felix Rottenberg has decided that the time has come to create a “sanctuary for boiling urban intellectual energy.” He wanted to provide an informal environment for public discussion of current issues, which is what De Balie has been doing so far.
De Balie provides three halls for various events, whether it is a lecture, exhibition, theatrical performance, conference or film screening. Also in the building there is a cafe where you can enjoy a cup of hot and fragrant coffee, take advantage of free access to Wi-Fi, and in the restaurant to order a luxurious dinner. In the evening there is a relaxed atmosphere under the influence of beer, wine and cocktails.
Cafe De Balie is a great place to relax from the bustle of the city, where you can relax, have coffee and chat.
