Description:
Bijenkorf Shopping Centre is a typical Amsterdam shopping centre with many designer boutiques. It is the largest in Amsterdam and is located in Dam Square, next to the Krasnopolsky Hotel.
It was opened in 1870 by entrepreneur Philip Goudsmith on Nyivendyk Street and was a sewing shop. In 1912 it was relocated to Dam Square and in 1957 occupied the entire six-storey building.
The shopping center from the inside is a whole work of art, striking with original design solutions. It hosts festivals and concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions and even has its own magazine. Here you can buy clothes from designers known all over the world, the best cosmetics, accessories and elegant gifts.
It is better to come here in September or October, during a three-day sale, when goods of the most expensive brands are sold at an incredible discount of 25-40 percent.
