Heineken Beer Museum in Amsterdam
Netherlands, Amsterdam, Stadhouderskade, 78
About the company:
The Heineken Beer Museum is a popular tourist attraction museum in Amsterdam. It is located in the old building of the Heineken brewery and was opened on the basis of the old company factory in Amsterdam. New factories are now located in industrial towns in the Netherlands.
Heineken is the fourth largest brewing company in the world. The brewery itself was founded in 1864 in Amsterdam. Since then, it has been actively developing and flourishing, and today Heineken has branches and factories in 65 countries. In addition to 170 of the most famous beer brands that the company bottles, Heineken is a classic variety. The company claims that its recipe has not changed for 150 years.
The cost of visiting the museum includes beer tasting, as well as the purchase of a souvenir. An interesting attraction for tourists is the so-called “bottle game”. Visitors are invited to imagine themselves as a branded green bottle of Heineken beer. In a small room-cinema, where instead of traditional chairs there are scaffolds with handrails, you are shown a film about the history of the bottle – starting with its release at the factory, pouring beer and sticking a brand label, and ending with its hit on the store counter. At the same time, the moving podium makes you really feel like the main character of the film.
