Museum Meermanno
Prinsessegracht 30, 2514 AP Den Haag, Netherlands
About the company:
The museum is housed in the former home of book collector Baron van Westreen, who was a big fan of his cousin Johan Meerman, a book collector, traveler, memoirist.
This museum is a personal monument to Meerman, but it focuses on written and printed books in all their forms and genres, as well as their restoration. The museum has a collection of books illustrating all periods of Western history. But medieval manuscripts and their restoration are among the most important features of the collection.
In addition to the collection of ancient books, the museum contains books printed from 1850 to the present day. The interior of the museum is also of interest. In addition to antique furniture, there are also paintings by famous Dutch masters and printing presses.
