The Wahib Sands Desert is located about 190 kilometers south of Muscat. The desert has a length of 180 kilometers and covers an area of 12,500 square kilometers. Visitors are interested in its landscapes, animal and plant life.
The desert is an endless expanse occupied by sand and dunes. Some of them grow up to 200 meters, some have the property of changing colors - from orange to amber. The desert is home to various flora and fauna, including 16,000 species of invertebrates and 200 species of other animals and birds.
Also in the desert live Bedouin, who in their parking lots receive tourists.
