Chachani Mountain

mount Chachani, near Arequipa, Peru

Description:

Chachani (Chachani) is a high mountain, rising to 6057 meters. It is the highest mountain in southern Peru. There is no permanent ice sheet or glaciers, there are no large crevices. It is their absence that makes climbing so popular.

The climb usually begins on the north side. Two intersections across a relatively steep landscape are major challenges on the way to the top. The final stage of the ascent is a very steep slope of the rocky embankment. And you're on top, and you seem to reach out and you can catch a cloud. Underfoot is the sky.
