The Ancient City of Pisac
Description:
Pi'sac (Spanish Pisac., Quechua P'isaq) is a city in Peru near Cusco. It is located in Valle Sagrado, the sacred valley of the Incas by the Urubamba River.
The Pisak Center consists of two parts: the city itself and the sacred place. To the temple ruins leads a long staircase, symbolizing, most likely, a spiritual elevation or even a connection with the deity. In the center of the temple is the sacred Intihuatana stone, to which the Inca believed the Sun was tied.
The city still keeps its secrets - why, for example, such a huge city is not mentioned in the annals? Pisak is divided into blocks and occupies an area of several square kilometers. Normal cities have never been like this. In addition, the city has a burial site – the largest and most impressive ancient cemetery in Peru. No answers. And the mystery, it seems, can be felt even by the skin.
