On this tour, we will visit the oldest wine region in the world - the Alto Douro Region, where the world famous drink - port wine is produced. But not only port wines are famous for Douro, but also dry red and white wines.
What attracts attention here is the majestic landscape - mountains, where a man with his own hands created terraces on which vine, olive and fruit trees grow. It was for the landscape that in 2001 the Alto Douro Wine Region was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Here we will visit one of the wineries, where we will get acquainted with the process of wine and port wine production. You want 2-3? Come on! At the end of September, you can participate in the collection and crushing of grapes. Remember Celentano?!
If desired, we can dilute the tour with a visit to the city of Lamego, an ancient spiritual center. But there we will try the local sparkling!
