Alushta Ghetto

King of the Falls

Description:

The waterfall is full, operates all year round. During this route you will follow along the entire southern coast of Crimea to Alushta. Your path runs along a very picturesque Yalta road: on the right - poetic seascapes, on the left - bizarre mountains and rocks in the frame of a dense evergreen forest. From the windows of the bus you will see an endless series of beautiful landscapes, amazing ancient parks, majestic palaces, as well as buildings of supermodern health resorts and villas. On the way - two stops - on Laspin Pass and on the observation deck of Mount Cat. Next, you will follow the winding highway Alushta-Sudak to the village of Malorechenskoye - to the Lighthouse Church of St. Nicholas of Myrlik. This one of the most beautiful and amazing temples of the Crimea is located on a 50-meter rock almost by the sea and organically fits into the surrounding landscape. It is built in memory of all those who died on the waters and at the same time is a lighthouse. Instead of the traditional dome, the church is crowned by a golden cross, under which there is a ball - the symbol of the Earth. It is in the ball that a lighthouse for sea vessels is arranged. After admiring the unusual temple, visiting and photographing this unusual Crimean landmark, the group will then proceed to the village of Solnechnogorskoye. Here, the program provides time for lunch and rest on the Solnechnogorsk beach. The beaches in these places are remarkable - a small smooth pebble, clean water of the open sea and a relative small number of tourists. That, of course, strikingly distinguishes them for the better from the beaches of the south coast, often similar to the “...close rookery of seals”. After rest, the group is waiting for an excursion to the Jur-Jur waterfall. The bus will take you to the village of General, where, having transferred to special all-terrain vehicles, you will go to the protected tract Haphal. Moving to them is a little more than a kilometer. And almost in front of the waterfall, leaving your trucks, you will pass through the magnificent beech forest, where in Soviet times many fairy tale films were filmed. The mysterious and mysterious beauty of the gorge will leave an indelible impression on you. However, the main beauty is at the end of the road. Nature seems to have tried to save one of its best creations, as they say, “under the curtain”!!! After a while, huge spreading trees will part, and on the forest clearing you will see the famous Dzhur-Jur – the most abundant waterfall of the Crimean peninsula. Located in the mountains at an altitude of 468 meters above sea level, it has a huge number of slopes, rapids and cascades. The height of the fall of the water Dzhur-Jur is 15 meters. The noise from a powerful descending water flow with great force is heard for many kilometers around. Unlike other waterfalls of Crimea, it never dries up.
