A great trip to the former capital of the Crimean Khanate. Once the cultural and commercial center of Crimea, Bakhchisaray is now a small town. We will go on a journey to the cave town of Chufut-Kala, a medieval fortress on a high rock. On the way to the cave town there is an active Holy Assumption Monastery, one of the oldest in the Crimea. You can drink water at the spring and visit the cave temple.

After this walk, we have a break for lunch in a cafe with wonderful dishes of the Crimean Tatar cuisine, and then go to the Khan’s Palace.

Many come here to see the central square, state rooms, living quarters and harem building, as well as the Fountain of Tears, sung by A. S. Pushkin.
