Bahchisarai

And Pushkin himself blessed our way to Bakhchisarai

Description:

Driving by car along the picturesque highway of the southern coast of the Crimea, leaving the luxury of subtropical vegetation, we turn to an equally picturesque road of mountainous terrain. Our goal is a city with an oriental flavor. For many centuries, this city attracted, fascinated, attracted more than one servant of the pen, the sights of Bakhchisarai are described by many writers and poets and even by A. S. Pushkin himself.

Our acquaintance with Bakhchisarai will begin with an ascent along a simple mountain path to the male Holy Assumption Cave Monastery with a healing spring.

But this is just the beginning. We will continue the climb to enjoy the wonderful views that will open from the views of Chufut Kale, a city created on the steep slopes of the mountains.

Upon return, there will be an opportunity to try dishes of Crimean Tatar cuisine in a cozy cafe and enjoy the taste and aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

At the end of the tour, we will visit the palace of the Crimean khans of the Geray dynasty. Small cozy courtyards, drowning in greenery and flowers, with small, melodic gurgling fountains; two-storey houses, decorated with bright tiles and mosaics; sloping roofs rest on low arches; and through the doors hidden under the stairs you can get into a small room, shimmering with stained glass light windows. And of course, the fountain, with an eye carved on white marble, from which stingy male tears flow - a symbol of eternal sorrow for the untimely deceased lover - the famous Fountain of Tears.
