Crimea, Russia

Description:

The mountains in Crimea consist of three parallel ridges running along the coast from Sevastopol to Feodosia for one hundred and eighty kilometers.

Crimean mountains are not the highest, but at the same time one of the most beautiful in the world. The main (southern) ridge, unlike many other mountains, has a smooth plateau, instead of sharp peaks. These plateaus are called "Yaylas". There is almost no forest on them, but in the spring they are covered with herbs and flowers. The slopes of the southern mountain, on the contrary, are covered with dense forests.

On the slope of the Inner Range is Bakhchisarai, but do not confuse it with the Turkish city of Bakhchesarai. The main attraction of this city is the palace of the Crimean khans. You can get to Bakhchisarai from Simferopol or Sevastopol by bus, train or car.
