Edge of cave towns

During the tour, we will pass along the road connecting Bakhchysarai and the southern coast of Crimea (via Ai-Petri or the villages of Tank and Chernorechye - depending on weather conditions, your location, desire and, therefore, the route agreed by us). Along this route, passing through a very picturesque mountain and forest area, on the flat tops of the rocks are partially preserved remains of fortresses and cave towns of the medieval principality of Feodoro (Gothia).

Climbing to each cave town from the road is a hiking trip lasting a maximum of about an hour. Some of the former cities are now museum objects (entrance is paid), some (Kachi-Kalion, Tepe-Kermen) still have free access. At your request, for an additional fee, it is possible to climb to the cave cities on prepared SUVs (usually UAZ).

In addition, we will drive and walk through the old winding streets of Bakhchisarai (bağça / bagcha - garden, saray / sherai - palace) - the capital of the Crimean Khanate, visit, if you want, the only monument of the Crimean Tatar palace architecture Bakhchisarai Khan Palace, in one of the courtyards of which there is the famous Fountain of Tears, sung by Pushkin in the poem "Bakhchisarai Fountain". And, of course, we will have time to have a delicious lunch in one of the many ethnic cafes of Bakhchisarai.

You will find beautiful views, wonderful locations for photos and a fascinating story about the history of medieval Crimea.
