Unique cultural and educational center "Ethnomir" is located near the ancient city of Borovsk, Kaluga region. The initiator of its creation was the international charitable foundation “Dialogue of Cultures – One World”, which set the task not only to preserve and popularize traditional cultures, but also to promote ethnic tolerance and strengthen friendship between peoples. On the basis of yurts, the hotel complex "Siberia" was created, where tourists can experience a nomadic lifestyle without abandoning the amenities of a traditional hotel On an area of 83 hectares, ethno-yards representing the countries of the world in miniature with their characteristic history and culture have been built and continue to be built. The heart of each courtyard is a house made in the traditions of national architecture: against the backdrop of picturesque Central Russian landscapes, Russian huts coexist with nomad yurts, and Indian wigwams – with traditional Indian dwelling. Already today you can explore the traditional Russian hut and learn how an ordinary peasant family lived, and what role the Russian furnace played in its life, get acquainted with the way of life and life of nomads, stay in yurts for the night, to personally hear the living breath of nature through the thin wall of the most ancient and environmentally friendly dwelling of man. By the way, the ethno-yard “Nomadic peoples of Central Asia” is represented by real felt yurts from Tuva, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. On the basis of yurts, the hotel complex "Siberia" was created, where tourists can experience a nomadic lifestyle without abandoning the amenities of a traditional hotel. Large neo-yurts allow for interesting thematic events and seminars. Interactive excursion programs, theatrical games, sledging, harnessed by husky dogs, will give a sea of positive emotions, help to relax from the bustle of the city with benefits for the soul and mind, forget about the stresses of everyday life. A huge territory and interesting content allow you to hold bright festivals, carnivals, holidays, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, trainings, master classes. On the main shopping street you can choose souvenirs and watch the work of craftsmen. At the end of 2009, the hotel "Russian Compound" with 37 rooms should open. Then Japanese, Chinese, Australian and others will be added to the existing houses. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by 2012.
