Krasnoturya Local History Museum

The main exhibition for the museum is the historical exposition. In 2022, the exposition was updated. Here is the whole history of the development of the Turin Mines and Krasnoturinsk, the formation of the mining and metallurgical industry: Turin copper mines, Theological ore management, Theological aluminum plant, Artel prospectors "South Zaozersk mine" and other enterprises. Education, health and culture are widely represented. Participants and heroes of the Civil, Great Patriotic and undeclared wars are shown. The exposition pays great attention to the multinational and multi-confessional composition of local residents. A special place here is occupied by the compatriot of the Krasnoturya, the “father of Russian geology”, the President of the Russian Imperial Academy of Sciences Alexander Petrovich Karpinsky. The museum has an Open Storage Department. Here are located numerous collections of household items of the inhabitants of Turin Mines - Krasnoturinsk periods of the XIX-XX centuries.
