About the company:

Yeisky Local History Museum is one of the oldest museums in Kuban. It was created on the fifth of May 1920 on the basis of the collections of the city museum of visual teaching aids, which existed in Yeisk since March 1910. In 2000, the museum was named after Vladimir Vasilyevich Samsonov, a well-known local historian, director of the museum from 1929 to 1962.
By 1941, the museum kept and exhibited more than five and a half thousand items of spiritual and material culture. During the occupation of the city by the Nazi invaders (August 1942 – February 1943), the museum collections were completely lost. The revival of the museum began with seven miracles of surviving exhibits.
Currently, the museum has collections of more than 50 thousand items of storage. Among them: materials of archaeological and ethnographic expeditions, documents, photographs, awards, weapons, numismatic collections, art works of domestic and foreign masters.
The exposition of the museum gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the nature and history of the North-Eastern Azov region.
