Gatchina City History Museum

The museum was established in 2004 on the initiative of the Council of Veterans of Gatchina. In 2006, the museum received premises in house No. 18 on 25 October Avenue. After a major renovation on November 22, 2009, the Gatchina City Museum hospitably opened its doors to visitors. The permanent exposition of the Museum, presented in five halls, is located in the historical building of the former Gatchina women's gymnasium and tells about the life and life of citizens in different historical periods: pre-Petrine time, the formation of the city in the late XVIII century, development and improvement during the XIX - early XX centuries, Gatchina during the occupation, post-war time and today.
