Swan Lake

The territory of the "Swan" reserve is characterized by a rich species diversity of its inhabitants. The set of unique reservoirs and the position of the reserve on the left bank of Katun, in the foothills of the Altai, create favorable conditions for concentration, rest, feeding migratory birds. There are 35 species of animals listed in the Red Book of the Altai Territory. On the territory of the reserve there are small lakes that do not freeze all winter, from the bottom of which keys are struck, maintaining a temperature of +4 ... +6 ° C. In the continental climate zone, Altai is the only place in the country where swans stay for the winter. The population of swans living here is unique in that it is isolated from others. Birds from the reserve fly for the summer to the Salekhard tundra. In addition, in the reservoirs of the reserve, other waterfowl also winter: mallard, ordinary gogol, a large crumb. In recent years, about 420-450 swans have wintered in the reservoirs of the reserve. In addition, more than 2 thousand wild ducks stop on the lakes.

12:00 – Arrival of the group at Lake Svetloye. Entrance tickets and bird food are not included in the price. (50p+150p) Walk to the observation room. Free time.

14:00 - Return to Gorno-Altaisk.

According to individual requests, various combinations of excursion facilities are possible, weekend tours (2-3 days) any direction are also valid, prices are contractual.
