Karaghem is a pass giving rise to the Karaghem River of the same name, which has the sixth, highest category of complexity. Karaghem Pass is located on the territory of the Altai Republic in the Russian Federation. This pass separates two ridges, such as the Yuzhno-Chui and North-Chui ranges. The road to the pass is not easy. Most likely, the last time it was serviced during the Soviet era, which is why we climb on off-road cars. On the way to Karaghem there are many iconic and beautiful places, such as the village of Beltir (in 2003 affected by a devastating earthquake), the valley of the Taltura River, three large climbs, mountain lakes and rivers, etc. In clear weather from the pass there is a beautiful view of Mount Beluhu, Jelo glacier, Chui steppe.
