Mysteries of ancient Altai

First, the tour bus moves to the village of Chemal, and from there continues its way towards the village of Jelanda.

The first stop on the route is made at the Dry Falls, a striking natural monument, which is hundreds of millions of years old. Altai people call this place "Arya-Yaryk" or waterfall "thousand souls". Imagine a narrow gorge where the sun last looked about 485 million years ago.

The next stop is made near the mysterious tunnels forming a complex system of labyrinths inside the mountain range, here are the Yelandin rapids, behind which, on the opposite bank, traces of an ancient settlement discovered by archaeologists are visible.

The next stop along the route is two adjacent objects, a marble cave and a shaman rock. According to legend, the Altai shaman lived in this cave for a thousand years, the spirit of which is still here and in dark stormy nights in the depths of the cave there is a mysterious glow wandering around it.

Not far from the cave is one of the amazing and mysterious places of the Altai Mountains and the shaman living in it, was clearly somehow connected with this, because this is a huge black rock with a flat top, is called "Shaman Rocks". It is considered a powerful place of power. Tradition says that in ancient times on its flat top stood a sanctuary, and under the rock once every few years gathered all the Altai shamans for joint kamlaniya.

At the bottom of the rock, an attentive look will notice ancient rock paintings depicting animals and hunting scenes. The laws of physics in this place work strangely and inexplicably. Here we will conduct some experiments, interesting, but not explainable.

Our next route is to the Oroktoy Bridge. The design of the bridge is very interesting, the canvas of the bridge as if floats in the air on suspended cables, without leaning and without having a rigid fastening on the banks.

The place where the bridge is located is very interesting. This is the narrowest and deepest place of Katun. Once there was the mouth of an ancient volcano and lava pouring out, sprawling up and down the existing valley – this explains the unusual landscape that formed when it solidified.
