Chulyshman Valley

Republic of Altai

Description:

In the Ulagan district of the Altai Territory there is a picturesque attraction that deserves the attention of even the most finicky tourist-valley Chulyshman. Its length is about 130 km, it got its name from the river with the same name, which flows in this valley. There are many waterfalls.

One of the largest cascading waterfalls of Siberia is Uchar, its height is 160 m. It is worth paying attention to Kurkur, Karas. They are smaller, but they are also impressive.

It is also impossible to pass by the so-called stone mushrooms, which were formed by water and wind. These natural monuments are very similar to mushrooms and reach a 7-meter height.

There are two ways to get to the valley: by water and by car. The second way is more comfortable. From Barnaul you need to get to the village of Aktash, then to Balyktyul. It's right there. Or on any swimming facility - through Teletskoye Lake to the Chulyshman River.
