Eagle grotto. Taldin caves

on the left bank of Katun near the village of Izlichkovy on the territory of the tourist complex "Turquoise Katun"

Description:

Taldin caves are the heart of the Altai Mountains and a popular tourist attraction. In the rocky cliffs, stretching for almost 5 kilometers, there are more than 30 explored caves, in which sanctuaries of ancient people were found.

One of the most interesting places here is the Eagle Grotto, which got its name because of the orange-colored mineral deposits at the vault itself, in the outlines of which pioneer researchers saw a bird with open wings. Scientists have not yet been able to determine the origin of the mysterious image, and therefore the Eagle Grotto is overgrown with new and new legends.

Taldin caves are located on the left bank of Katun, near the village of Izlichkovy and the source of Arzhan-Suu. You can drive to the caves through the bridge towards the Turquoise Katun tourist complex.
