Tour programme:

1 day:

Barnaul – Biysk – Gorno-Altaisk – Artybash (420 km)

6:00 to 9:00. Meeting at the airport or railway station of Barnaul.

Welcome to the Altai. Acquaintance with Altai will begin with a small tour of the capital of the Altai Territory, the city of Barnaul. Then a transfer and a transit tour of Biysk, a city built by the personal decree of Tsar Peter I, with a rich history, a real Siberian character and its special mission. On the way, we will stop in the village of Srotki and walk to the Picket mountain to the monument of V.M. Shukshin. After lunch, a sightseeing tour of the city of Gorno-Altaisk. The city, which grew up on the site of impassable swamps and marshes, where there were once apiaries and three yurts, now stood multi-storey houses. An impressive historical path has been passed, from the Paleolithic site of the “Ancient Man”, through the mission camp, the village of Ulalu to the capital of the Altai Republic.

In addition, a visit to the A.V. Anokhin National Museum is offered (from 300 rubles).

Day 2:

Excursion to Chemal - Patmos Island - HPP - Chech-Kysh Waterfall (200 km).

Today is a day of peace of mind... Excursion to the village-resort Chemal. Chemal, this is a unique resort area of Altai. The optimal combination of beauty and accessibility made it one of the main tourist centers of the republic. The special location of the mountains gives the valley a mild climate, moderate winters and warm summers. You will get acquainted with the history of missionary work in Altai. You will see the prison of the Znamensky convent, as well as visit the Orthodox Church of John the Theologian on the island of Patmos. Walking along the “goat path” over the seething Katunya below, you will have beautiful views of the Seminsky Range and the “Gate of Sartakpay”. Going down the path down, you will come to the Chemal HPP. Once it provided electricity to the local sanatorium and nearby villages, and now it has become a sightseeing object. After lunch we will stop in the tract Chech-Kysh - a rock canyon in the valley of the Katun River, the locals call it "Valley of mountain spirits" as this place is very magical and hidden from prying eyes by a high narrow canyon. Climbing the gorge, you can swim under the waterfall of “wealth”, and from the observation deck you can see the broken “Heart” of Katun.

3 days

Estate KIT - Upper Uimon - Multa (410 km.)

After breakfast, our way lies in the Uimon Valley, in the legendary country of Belovodye.

Bypassing Ust-Sem, we continue along the Chui tract. Admiring the changing landscapes, we reach the Seminsky Pass - the highest on the Chui tract (1,894 m). Then, turning to the Yabogansky tract, we go towards Ust-Kan. Hundreds of kilometers of mountain taiga on low ridges, an endless road winding up and down the passes, rare villages, pastures and mountain rivers. And suddenly the mountains part, and before us opens the wide Uimon valley, the far edge which is lost in the haze in the east. In search of the legendary country Belovodye, many found their shelter here. On the way we will visit the museum of the famous scientist, traveler and artist N. Roerich and the museum of history and culture of the Uimon valley (Museum of Old Believers).

4 days

Car excursion to the multita lakes (9 hours)

Today is an active day. We will have a cross-country car to climb to the high-mountain multita lakes of the highest in the Altai Katun ridge, where we will be able to drink crystal clear glacial water, and maybe even swim. We will walk to the moraine rampart between the lower and middle lake, which is called "Noise", approach the glaciers and listen to the singing water rolls.

5 days

Multa - Karakol - KiT Manor (450 km.)

We'll have breakfast and go. Today we will plunge into the atmosphere of the national culture of the indigenous population of Altai. We will get acquainted with the sacred places in the Karakol Valley and the Uch-Enmek natural park. We will see sacred places, mounds, steles, as well as try the national cuisine and discover the secrets of folk musical instruments, and the concert of masters of throat singing “Kai” will bring an unusual flavor to this meal.

After lunch we will visit the national markets on Seminsky Pass and at the source of Arzhan-Suu.

Day 6:

Excursion to the TC "Turquoise Katun" - "Tavdinsky Caves" - mountain apiary - Oz. Mangierok.

It's relax day. After long and stressful journeys and excursions, we will walk around the resort "Turquoise Katun". There is everything for a good rest: comfortable hotels, cozy restaurants, rescue rooms and of course a warm artificial lake with a sandy beach. On the way, we will look into the complex "Tavdinsky Caves", where we will get acquainted with the cave abode of ancient people. This is an array of several caves of karst origin. In these places, objects related to the Bronze and Iron Age were found. Later, at the beginning of the last century, the Tavdin caves became the habitat of the Old Believers.

And after lunch, we will stop at the warm Manzherok Lake (translated as Mist Mountain), in the vicinity of which the Manzherok ski complex is located, in summer excursions on the funicular are popular here, from which a beautiful view of the Katun River and the lake opens.

Day 7:

Day excursion to Teletskoye Lake (Car 360 km. boat 3 hours.)

Today is a legendary day. You will touch the secrets of Teletskoye Lake - the pearl of the Altai Mountains. In terms of the supply of pure fresh water, it is second only to Baikal. Almost the entire right bank of Teletskoye Lake occupies the territory of the Altai State Nature Reserve, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Local people from time immemorial called it "Altyn-Kel" - Golden Lake. You will hear many legends about this mysterious place, as it is revered as a sacred lake.

Assess the beauty and power of Teletskoye Lake will help a 3-hour walk on a speed boat with a visit to the beautiful waterfalls "Korbu" and "Kishte", as well as "Stone Bay".

After lunch, we return to the estate "Kit", and on the way we will stop at the honey market to try and buy real Altai honey.
