Karakol lakes are one of the most attractive places in the Altai Mountains. The lakes are located in the upper reaches of the Karakol River (a tributary of the Elikmanar River) in the prealpine part of the western slope of the Iolgo Range. The absolute height of the lowest of the lakes is 1820 m, the highest - 2097 m. Karakol lakes are a system of 7 lakes connected by channels and streams and having different colors of water. The decoration of the lakes is the surrounding landscape: a cedar forest with an admixture of larch, smoothly passing into meadows. The temperature of the lake water in summer is only about + 7 C. Around the lakes are bizarre rock ensembles, some of them even have their own names, for example: “Castle of mountain spirits”. There are small caves, waterfalls. Karakol lakes are declared a natural monument.

The route is simple, it can involve both experienced tourists and those who have no experience of horseback riding.
Return transfer at the end of the tour:
• in the city of Barnaul / Biysk is carried out in the evening (22:00) of the last day of the tour, arrival in Barnaul about 3-4 in the morning, in Biysk about 1 night of the next day. Return tickets must be purchased the next morning. For example, if the tour ends on July 21, buy a return ticket for July 22 in the early morning or at other times of the day.
• Gorno-Altaisk is carried out on the next day after the end of the tour at 5-6 am (depending on the time of departure). For example, if the tour ends on July 21, the transfer will take place on July 22 at 5 a.m. In this case, you need to book accommodation for one night (from 21 to 22 July). Accommodation at the base in Barangol is not included in the cost of the tour, the cost of living from 500 rubles / person.
