Tour programme

1 day

We will meet you in Gorno-Altaisk at 12:00 (if it is more profitable for you to take a ticket to Barnaul, it is not scary: then we will call you and agree to meet in the city before leaving for Gorno-Altaisk at 08:00). We are waiting for a welcome breakfast and acquaintance with the tour participants. Usually this is a very soulful event, where guests quickly liberate themselves and easily tell a few words about themselves. :

• We will start our trip to Altai with the ethno-museum of Altai culture, where we will get acquainted with the life and customs of local residents.
• Then we will go to Teletskoye Lake - the second largest supply of fresh water in Russia after Lake Baikal.
• At the end of the day, we will settle in the base in the village of Artybash on the shore of Teletskoye Lake, in rooms of the Standard category.

2 days

We have an impressive day ahead of us!

Do not be afraid of such activity: transport will do most of the way for us, it remains only to enjoy the views.

• We will go on boats on Teletskoye Lake. We will make a few stops near the coast and visit the waterfalls.
• On chair lifts we get to the top of Kokuya Mountain - from here opens a panorama of the mountain ranges Iolgo, Sumultinsky, Abakansky and Shapshalsky.
• We will return to our base, finish the evening with rest and spiritual gatherings.

3 days

Talented and original people live in Altai, and the measured third day of the tour gives an opportunity to see this.

• We will go to the village of Askat, to the village of masters, where artists, potters, blacksmiths, jewelers, masters of leather work live. Museums here are unusual - exhibits can be touched, photographed and bought, and musical instruments imitate the sound of rain or the noise of the forest.
• We'll move into a base nearby. We are waiting for the numbers of the category "Standard".
• We will walk along the banks of Katun – stunning views open on the turquoise ribbon of the river near the base!

4 days

Today we will visit the village of Chemal, which since ancient times locals consider a place with the most stable climate. In the valley surrounded by low mountains, the sun almost always shines, there are no strong winds, and the tourist infrastructure is the most developed in the Altai.

• Our first destination is the small island of Patmos. The only way to it is through a suspension bridge. Here is the St. John theological hermitage. Some icons are myrrhaging here.
• On the goat trail we will reach the Chemal HPP.
• We will walk to the "Valley of Spirits" Che-Chkysh to enjoy the view from the observation deck and take spectacular photos under the waterfall.

5 days

According to the Chuisky tract, one of the most beautiful roads in the world according to National Geographic, we will go to the village of Aktash.

• The first stop is Seminsky Pass, rich in flora and fauna. In the warm season, alpine meadows bloom here, and the deciduous forest is gradually replaced by powerful Altai cedars.
• Visit the Chike Taman Pass, a historic site. It was one of the oldest trade routes between Mongolia and Russia.
• From a bird's eye view we will see the confluence of the Chui and Katuni rivers. The boundary between the turquoise water of Katuni and the muddy-white flow of Chui is visible even far below the confluence, as if two obstinate rivers are struggling, not wanting to yield to each other. This amazing picture is framed by mountains. It's breathtaking!
• We will settle in the Aura base in the village of Aktash, in wooden houses with amenities and cedar aroma.

6 days

Left for dessert the most unearthly places of Altai

• The geyser lake is one of the Altai lakes that do not freeze even in winter. The springs beating from the bottom raise blue clay to the surface of the water and create an unusual, marble pattern.
• Panorama of the North Chui Ridge is perhaps the most memorable place of the Altai Mountains. The lower part of the slopes is covered by coniferous taiga, higher are alpine meadows, then the tundra zone, and the peaks are crowned by eternal snow and glaciers.
• Another unearthly location, Altai Mars. Bright white, yellow, orange, red stripes and divorces look absolutely unreal, more reminiscent of scenery for science fiction films than a natural attraction.

7 days

Let’s face it, we’re always a little sad on the last day of the tour.

I want to stretch this pleasure of traveling, to be filled with energy, to fix the memory! So we will gladly show you the souvenir shops and stop for another beautiful shot : Then we will return to Gorno-Altaisk, exchange contacts and walk you to the airport. And if you have chosen a flight from Barnaul, together we will go to the capital of the Altai Territory and tell you a few more interesting facts along the way.

And, of course, we will wait for new meetings!
