Climbing Actor to the Dome

Aktru Gorge is located in the mountains of the North Chui Ridge of the Altai Republic. It is known as one of the centers of mountaineering in the Altai, founded in 1938, in the postwar period was restored only in 1953.

Our hike will include an interesting car part both along the Chui tract and along the arid Kurai steppe to the alplager. We will settle in the camp in tents and will make radial exits lightly to the Blue Lake, on the glacier Big Aktru, which offers a beautiful view of the very top of Aktru - one of the four thousandth inhabitants of the Altai Mountains.

The program also includes a training ascent to the Teacher's Pass (1A, height 3100 m). Finally, we will climb to the top of the Dome of Three Lakes (complexity 1B, height 3556 m). Of course, without training in climbing skills, special equipment, we can not do.

This hike is a great opportunity to join the harsh and serious mountains, to see what mountain tourism and mountaineering are, and to understand why people strive for the peaks again and again.
