Seven Wonders of Altai Autumn

Tour from the foothills of the Altai to the hidden among the high mountain ranges of the Uimon Valley, which is often called Altai Bialowodody.

TOUR PROGRAMME

1 DAY. Getting to know Altai

• In the morning - arrival in Gorno-Altaisk. Meeting of the group at the airport and transfer to the maral farm and eco-village "Kaimskoe".
• Here you will be offered a hot breakfast - homemade and delicious dishes of Russian cuisine and snacks from maral.
• Transfer to the hotel accommodation. Along the way, we will make stops at viewpoints on the Katun River to admire its rocky shores and islands.
• Check-in at the hotel from 14:00
• A day of rest and acclimatization.

2 DAY. Katuni's BLOOD

• Today you will get acquainted with the most beautiful, largest and legendary river of the Altai Mountains – Katunya. The name of the river in translation from the Altai language means “lady, wife of Khan”.
• Katun originates on the slopes of the highest mountain of Altai and Siberia - Belukha and takes almost all the rivers of the Altai Mountains.
• 10:00 – Auto excursion to the resort village of Chemal. This is one of the warmest and sunniest places in Altai. In Chemal you will visit the legendary Temple of John the Theologian on the island of Patmos and take a walking tour to the mouth of the Chemal River and the Chemal HPP.
• 14:00 – 15:00 – time for lunch in the cafe (the tour price is not included).
• 15:00 – 19:00 Continuation of the auto excursion along the valley of the Katun River. Ascent on foot to the valley of mountain spirits Che-Chkysh.

3 DAY. The Altai Silk Road

• Chui tract is certainly the most beautiful highway of Altai and Russia. Originating thousands of years ago, it crosses the entire Altai and ends on the border with Mongolia.
• After driving along the Chui tract, travelers can get acquainted with different faces of the Altai - from velvet foothills to high-mountain semi-deserts with snow-capped peaks.
• Today you will visit two passes - Seminsky and Chike-Taman. Walk through the cedar taiga, make a stop on the grand Ilgumensky threshold. You'll see old petroglyphs.
• 9:00 – Departure from the hotel for an auto tour along the Chuisky tract. Along the way we will make stops at monuments of nature, archaeology and places of power.
• 14:00 – 15:00 Lunch in a cafe or camping on the road (not included in the tour price)
• 15:00 – continuation of the auto tour along the Chui tract. Arrival at the hotel about 20:00-21:00.

04 DAY.GOLDEN LAKE

• Teletskoye Lake, or Altyn-Kol, as it is called in the Altai, is the deepest lake in Altai and one of the deepest in Russia. He is often called the younger brother of Baikal.
• The lake is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, protected as part of the Altai Natural Biosphere Reserve.
• 9:00 - Departure from the hotel to Lake Teletskoye
• 13:00 – Arrival at Lake Teletskoye. Walk on a boat in the water area of the lake
• Visit to Korbu Falls (the territory of the Altai Natural Biosphere Reserve)
• Lunch at a cafe on the waterfall (not included in the tour price).
• Return to the hotel about 20:00 – 21:00.

5 DAY. Farewell to Altai

• Morning transfer to Gorno-Altaisk airport.
• Flight home.
• Until we meet again.
