Upper Bashkaus and Lower Chulyshman on catamarans
Description:
This route combines two legendary Altai rivers, Bashkaus and Chulyshman. We have chosen only the accessible sections of the rivers that can be safely passed by a non-sports team.
It's a tough 5K hike! We have developed this route for those who have already visited with us on Katun, Zhombolka, May alloys on Uxe, June on Kutse and Tumche, for those who want to develop further. It is also a route for all participants with good rafting experience. Soberly assess your strength when applying for this trip!

Chulyshman originates in Lake Dzhulukul at an altitude of about 2176 meters above sea level, and is the cleanest major river in the Altai, the water has a greenish-blue color. And the valley cuts through high mountains and is stunningly beautiful. We will finish the rafting with a boat tour of Teletskoye Lake, where Chulyshman flows.
Bashkaus, the left tributary of Chulyshman, flows from a small glacial lake at the eastern end of the Kurai Ridge at its junction with the Chikhachev Ridge, at an altitude of about 2525 m above sea level.
