Climbing to the top of Aktru 4044 m is a real mountaineering. One of the main four-thousanders of the North Chui Range, translated from the Altai language, Aktru means a white house, white parking, white dwelling. Aktru Gorge is known as one of the centers of mountaineering in the Altai, founded in 1938, in the postwar period it was restored only in 1953.
