Tour programme:
1 day. Meeting of the group at the airport of Gorno-Altaisk from 9.00 to 10.30. Transfer to Askat village, Chemal district. Settlement in houses on the base, surrounded on all sides by picturesque mountain ranges. Within walking distance is the beautiful Katun River.
Askat attracts tourists from all over Russia and abroad with its talented residents, its picturesque location and special climate. The inhabitants of Askat, having absorbed the pristine beauty of this unique region, show it in the works of various directions.
On the territory of the village there are galleries, workshops on various crafts and exhibition halls of painting, in which there is also an opportunity to take training master classes. In addition, there are natural attractions that we will get acquainted with during an evening walk.
After a short rest, a sightseeing tour "Legends of Chemal", during which we will visit the island of Patmos, passing through the suspension bridge over Katun to the temple of John the Theologian; Chemal hydroelectric power station - the oldest hydroelectric power station in the Altai, the confluence of the rivers Chemal and Katun.
Patmos is a small island with steep rocky slopes on the Katun River, on which the Orthodox Church of John the Theologian is located. At the moment, the temple is an active women's hermitage, where services are held, at the same time it is available for visiting by everyone.
A visit to the temple of John the Theologian Patmos is an opportunity to plunge into a calm and man-made atmosphere. Passing the bridge at an altitude of 30 meters from the water of Katun, you will get to this important and unique place.
After the tour, we will visit the fair of Altai and Mongolian goods and souvenirs, buy natural products of Altai: honey, herbal teas, pine nut, etc.
In the evening we will get acquainted with the village of Askat. We will climb Mount Menjelic, at the foot of which there is a village. From the observation deck we have unforgettable views of Katun and the surrounding mountains; then go down to the rock of Marmorka on the banks of Katun, walk to the silver spring; look into the grass shop of the Basargin sisters or visit the Algiz workshop.

2 days. Excursion "Legends of the Chui tract" on the main highway of the Altai Mountains. Right from the path opens chic panoramas. It is rich in sights, legends and has a rich ancient history, which will tell our guides.
During the tour we will climb to the high mountain pass Seminsky, decorated with centuries-old cedars, majestic mountains with small snowballs on the tops. During a half-hour stop at the pass, the guide will tell the story of the entry of the Altai people into Russia. In addition, those who wish will be able to visit the fair of Mongolian goods and souvenirs, purchase real Altai products: honey, herbal teas, mummy, pine nut.
Continuing the tour along the Chui tract, we will climb the serpentine to the Chike-Taman pass, 1460 m high. From two observation platforms we will admire the beautiful views of the eastern slope of the Terektinsky Range, learn where the old wheeled Chui tract passed in the past centuries.
Over the Chike-Taman pass, we will continue to move along the picturesque Katuni Valley, make several stops to capture in memory and photos the bright moments of a short but unforgettable trip to Altai.
Among the rocks of Maly Yaloman we will see a beautiful bend of Katun – “Katun loop”. Find out what the “Katun Terraces” are, how and when they were formed.
We will make a small excursion to the ancient archaeological complex - the sanctuary of Adyr-Kan, which includes a stone warrior, rock petroglyphs and several groups of ancient burial structures.
Then we walk to the mouth of the Chui River. This place, sacred to the Altaians, there are two large rivers of the Altai Mountains - Chuya and Katun. Merging, they flow for some time with a pronounced color limit.

3 days. Auto excursion to the high-mountain Kurai steppe, which overlooks the glaciers of the North Chui Ridge, 4200 m high and the valley of the Chui River.
Auto tour in the tract with colored lands Kyzyl-Chin, which because of unusual red rocks is called "Altai Mars".
Altai Geyser Excursion to Blue Lake. At the bottom of the lake there are warm underground springs that blur the white-blue clay and create bizarre drawings on the lake.
In the evening, an excursion* on off-road cars to one of the peaks of the Kurai ridge - Mount Upper. From the mountain to 360 degrees opens a panorama of the surroundings: the spacious Chui Valley and the North Chui Ridge behind it, the peaks of which are covered with snow all year round. On the other side are the tops of the Kurai Ridge. In good weather with clear air behind the North Chui Ridge you can see Beluha (4506 m), the highest peak of the Altai Mountains.

4 days. Auto excursion to the valley of the river Chulyshman. Along the way, we cross the Red Gate, which opens the way to the edge of thousands of lakes and waterfalls, many high-altitude Ulagan lakes (Dead Lake, Uzun-Kel, Kedel, Uch-Kel, etc.), Ulagansky Pass, 2080 m high. Excursion in the Pazyryk tract, inspection of the Scythian mounds, which brought the tract world fame.
Hiking descent 3.5 km along the serpentine to the Chulyshmansky canyon - Katu-Yaryk. Katu-Yaryk is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful passes of Altai. From the observation deck there is a grand view of the Chulyshman Valley and the Chulyshman Highlands. The elevation difference is 800 m.

5 days. A boat crossing the Chulyshman River. Walking tour to the waterfall of Kurkure, 30 m high. The trail goes along the shore of Chulyshman without significant climbs of about 3 km.

Transfer along the Chulyshman Valley to the southern shore of Teletskoye Lake. Cape Kyrsai.

7 days. Large boat trip across the entire Teletskoye Lake (78 km). We will see the Korbu waterfall, 12.5 m high, Ayu-Kechpes waterfalls, Forty Sins, Estube.
Transfer from Artybash to Gorno-Altaisk. Arrival in Gorno-Altaisk 19.00-20.00

Ticks: Ticks in the Altai occur in the period from May to June, then their activity declines, but the means of protection will not be superfluous. Special processing is carried out on the territory of tourist centers.
