Temple of the Resurrection of Christ

The Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Khanty-Mansiysk is one of the central attractions not only of the city, but also of the entire district. With full right, it can be considered the largest cult building in the region. This is not only the main center of the spiritual life of the district, it is also an amazing building from the point of view of architecture, built using the most modern technologies.

The construction of the Resurrection Church began in 1999 and lasted more than 5 years. The temple complex is made in the best traditions of Russian architecture of the second half of the XIX century. The temple with the bell tower are the highest buildings in the city - the height of the temple is 59 meters, and the bell tower is three meters higher than it. Grandiose complex gives the location - on a hill, on the right bank of the Irtysh River.

In the immediate vicinity of the church is a unique Orthodox park, the territory of which is about one and a half hectares. In the park there are sculptures created in Orthodox themes. There is also a monument to Saints Cyril and Methodius.
