Gallery-workshop of the artist G.S. Raishev

Raishev Gennady Stepanovich /1934 born / - Honored Artist of Russia since 2006, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1974, Honored Cultural Worker of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug since 1996. Honorary Academician of the Demidov Academy of Arts and Arts. In 2005 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. Honorary citizen of Karpinsk (1997) and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra (2004). In June 2007 he was elected Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The gallery-workshop of the artist G.S. Raishev was opened on October 1, 1996 as a branch of the district museum of local lore. October 16, 2001 by the Decree of the Government of the KhMAO the gallery-workshop was given an independent status. The institution is unique in its nature, as it combines the creative studio of an actively working artist and a gallery, which has become a center for studying the author’s creative heritage. The results of the research work were embodied in a number of scientific publications, in the organization of more than 40 exhibitions over twelve years and in the formation of the largest collection of paintings of the master in Khanty-Mansiysk. Collections of paintings of the artist are also in the Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, Surgut art museums, in the Tobolsk Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve and the State Art Museum of the Altai Territory.
