About the company:

Ethnographic open-air museum-reserve "Torum Maa" was established in 1987 on the initiative of two famous Ugric writers. The main goal of the museum is the reconstruction of various elements that characterize the traditional life and way of life of the Khanty and Mansi peoples.

The museum is located in an amazingly beautiful place - in the middle of a forest, which emphasizes the authenticity of the summer estate of the Khanty people recreated by the museum staff. On the territory of the museum there are not only residential buildings, but also household and religious buildings. Walking along the alleys, visitors to the museum can visually imagine the richness and originality of the spiritual culture and traditions of the Ob-Ugric peoples. Here you can feel the harmony with nature and the harsh Siberian climate, which they managed to find for many centuries.

The open-air exhibition is only part of the Torum Maa collection. The collections of the museum contain an extensive and for the most part unique collection of household items, as well as national clothes and jewelry of the Ob-Ugric peoples. The collection is constantly replenished with new exhibits, which the museum staff bring from numerous research expeditions.
