Museum of Retro Automotive Engineering and Soviet Life

The only museum in Irkutsk and the Irkutsk region, which collected and restored cars, motorcycles, scooters of the period 1939-1990 (more than 40 models)! All cars and motor vehicles are in excellent condition.

The main exposition on the ground floor presents motorcycles, scooters, as well as antiquities: irons, vacuum cleaners, musical instruments, photo and video equipment, telephones and much more.

The additional exposition in the basement of the building presents four thematic rooms collected in the style of different eras:

room of middle-income people (teachers, clergy) of the period 1880-1930;

The room of rich people of the period before 1917;

- village hut of 1930-1960 (it has handmade furniture, old books, gramophones and gramophones, sewing machines and other utensils of that period);

- a room of the Soviet era of the 1970s and 2000s.

The museum also presents old books: the Bible of 1860, including in German, a large Soviet encyclopedia of 1969, books written for blind people in Braille.

Nearby is the second building of the museum (Sofia Perovskaya Street, 10), where a collection of retro cars is presented.

Work from 10 hours to 19 hours daily, except Monday.
