Big Cats

Two-day excursion to the first biological station in the village of Big Koty.

The station was opened in 1919 by the famous Baikal explorer Vitaly Dorogostaisky.

There is a museum of Baikal studies and an aquarium of the Institute of Biology.

• In the village of Big Koty we will visit the museum and the first biological station.
• Learn about the history of the village, what were the factories and factories here.
• We will talk with local residents whose ancestors explored Baikal and worked here.
• At night, we will take part in the capture of endemics from the lake and study together with a researcher.
• Let's go up to Screeper's cliff and hear about the conglomerates that make it up.
• Let's have a picnic by the lake.
