Olkhon - the heart of Baikal

Olkhon has always been a center of attraction for people. It is an island with high energy and stunning views.

For the winter version of the tour, it is best to have at least 2 days.
The road to Olkhon Island takes about 5 hours. Yes, the spaces of Siberia are huge and from Irkutsk to the island more than 250 km.

On the way, of course we'll stop. We will have lunch in a cafe with traditional Buryat cuisine. Here you can taste the most delicious dishes of local cuisine. Time on the road will pass unnoticed by my stories about Baikal, local history and traditions.

On Olkhon we are located in a guest house in the village of Khuzhir and on the first day we will visit the famous Cape Burkhan. Cape Burhan or Shamanka Rock is a sacred place of shamanists and a beautiful natural object.

On the second day we will go to the north of the island, on a tour to Cape Hoboi. This is the most famous tour among all of Baikal. Local residents even have such a saying: "Who has not been to Khoboya, that Baikal has not seen." To get to the north of the island, you need to overcome: a steppe landscape with incredible ups and downs, very similar to a roller coaster, a sandy tract and impenetrable taiga. This tour of the most picturesque places of Olkhon Island is accompanied by stories and legends. The tour includes lunch (ear from the Baikal fish).

After the tour, the return road to Irkutsk.
