Trip to Baikal in Listvyanka

Listvyanka is a former worker, now a tourist village on the shore of Lake Baikal, located near the source of the Angara River. The source of the Angara is the main place for excursions in this picturesque place. The source of the place is unique, never freezes, no matter what severe frosts are in the region, you can always see a piece of unfrozen Lake Baikal in winter. In addition to the view of the source from the shore, we will look at it from the observation deck “Kamen Chersky”, also we will have a view of the southern part of the lake. The height of the observation tower above the level of Lake Baikal is 270 meters and it is one of the best view points on the lake and the closest to the city of Irkutsk. Listvyanka is a tourist place, so various entertainments are offered in the village, namely: nerpinarium, limnological Baikal Museum, various water excursions, excursions to the KBZD (Circum-Baikal Railway), Ferris wheel and other attractions. Among other things, you can arrange a whole gastronomic part of the tour - enjoy the Baikal omul cooked in a variety of options, also fish can be bought and taken away to friends, colleagues, relatives as a souvenir. I always strongly recommend tourists to use water transport to expand the program and enhance the experience, as I offer the water part of the program up to one and a half hours in duration, we visit the most interesting places in the vicinity of Listvyanka. Listvyanka place is interesting, ideal for acquaintance with Baikal and is very close to the city, only 70 kilometers from the center of Irkutsk. On the way to the village, we will also talk about Baikal, the city, the Angara River, the climate, various nuances and the only mammal living in Baikal itself, the symbol of Lake Baikal, the Baikal seal.
