The development of the slopes of Mount Sobolinaya, located in the immediate vicinity of the city of Baikalsk, began back in 1969, when enthusiasts of extreme sports manually cut through the first track here.
The turning point for the development of the resort was 1991. Then several tracks and a trailer, which combined the functions of a kitchen, rental point and control room, began to grow into a modern ski center. This year, the first towing and cable car was commissioned (from the lower platform to the 6th mark). The seat was designed for one person and looked like a plate. The second such road appeared in 1994, which from the middle point lifted skiers to the top of the mountain. From 1999 to 2003, new lifts were installed, and the old ones were replaced by more modern ones.
