About me and my experience

Hello, dear traveler! My name is Yevgeny Mangaskin, and my history is inextricably intertwined with the history of the great Lake Baikal. I was born on the island of Olkhon, which many call the heart of Baikal, and from my childhood I absorbed the spirit of these sacred places. I am a local Buryat, and it is this land that has shaped me, giving me a deep connection to its nature, its secrets and its people.

My passion for Baikal naturally turned into a profession. I was educated as a tourism manager and became a certified guide and interpreter from English to share this unique beauty with the world. I have been touring since 2005, and each new tour is an opportunity for me to show guests what I love and appreciate.

I prefer to work with individual tourists and small groups of up to 7 people. This allows me not only to lead a tour, but to become a true friend and guide who can adapt the route to your interests and pace. We can explore together:

  • The city of Irkutsk in all its historical glory
  • Meet Listvyanka and go to the big hollow.
  • Discover the mysterious Tazherans and my native Olkhon
  • Feel the healing power of Arshan and Tunkin Valley
  • Visit the wild and beautiful Barguzin valley
  • And even expand your horizons by going to Mongolia!

My uniqueness? I am not only your guide, but also a keeper of stories and traditions. With my Buryat roots, I can truly revive the legends of Baikal, because they flow in my blood. And when we rest by the fire or in a picturesque natural location, you will hear throat singing, feel the vibrations of the vargan and enjoy the melodies of the guitar - this is my tribute to Baikal and my gift to you.

I invite you not only to see Baikal, but to feel it. Let me guide you on this incredible adventure where history comes to life and nature whispers ancient tales. See you at Baikal!
