Kazan church

The Kazan Church (the Mother of God-Irkutsk Church in the name of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God) is an Orthodox church in Irkutsk. It serves as a cathedral of the Irkutsk and Angarsk Metropolia. During the construction was laid such strength that it withstood all the years of Soviet power.

One of the most beautiful churches in Irkutsk. The interior is as beautiful as the exterior. In appearance, this temple is very different from many other churches of Irkutsk and therefore stands out for its beauty and pomp.

Today it is a real relic, a real abode of goodness and faith.

On the territory of the temple there is a fountain, a mini zoo and sculptures. For animals, you can bring food, small potatoes and leave it in the refectory. The Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus, angel and animals figures of angels at the stairs, an abundance of flower beds in summer and a small pond.

The church is located in the working suburb. You can get there by taxi number 4, 4c and 64 to the stop "Fuchica Street". Recommended visiting hours every Saturday from 15:40 to 19:00.
