Kinzelyuk waterfall

Krasnoyarsk Territory, Kinzelyuk waterfall

Description:

The pearl of the Central Sayan is the so-called residents of the local region Kinzelyuksky waterfall. It flows from the Kinzelyuk mountain lake. The waterfall is located on the northeastern slope of the Sayan Mountains in the Irkutsk region. It was preserved in its natural state. The height of this natural source is 328 meters.

One of the most beautiful and unique Russian waterfalls. It was measured in 1989 by the expedition team of Boris Babitsky. But only in 2020, thanks to the efforts of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory, the waterfall received the status of a natural monument of regional significance.

Since the waterfall is located in a difficult mountainous place, it is not easy to get to it. Travel companies offer hiking trails to this unique waterfall, but participating in them requires good physical fitness to overcome obstacles.

You can get in on your own. By bus from Krasnoyarsk to the village of Stepanovka, and then by dirt road you can take local residents to the base camp "Summer Agul". But you will have to climb up on foot.
