The Savior Church is located in the historical center of the city of Irkutsk. It's an Orthodox temple. Interestingly, its location is where the Irkutsk Kremlin once stood. At the moment, there is no such place in the city, as the Kremlin has been lost.
The church is also interesting because it is one of the oldest buildings in the city, which was made of stone.
The first mention of the church was in 1672. The year of foundation of this object is 1706. Construction took 4 years.
At the moment, the object is included in the list of cultural heritage objects of the Russian Federation.
